OTA (Over The Air)

Android Set-top boxes in the field can receive and install over-the-air (OTA) updates to the system and application software. OTA updates are designed to upgrade the underlying operating system, the read-only apps installed on the system partition or the MwareTV Application.

End users get a message in the user interface to start the update process and the device will be updated automatically.

To use the OTA update method, the Set-top boxes needs to be connected to an OTA update Server.

MwareTV offers Set-top boxes including the OTA update service.
